Online Abstract Submission Portal

 

The Organizing Committee would like to invite interested parties to submit abstracts and stand a chance to present their research at the 16th APHRS & CardioRhythm 2023.

 

Abstracts submitted will be reviewed by the Abstract Selection Committee who will select and determine the final mode of presentation either in oral or poster format.

 

Selected abstracts will be published on the Journal of Arrhythmia.

 

Deadline for abstract submission: 31 May 2023

Abstract Structure

  1. Title: The title should be indicative of the abstract content. Abstract title should not exceed 25 words. Company or trade names, special symbols, characters and uncommon abbreviations are not permitted.
  2. Content: Abstract body should not exceed 250 words. Simple table or figure may be included. A table or a figure equals 100 words and is included as part of the 250 words limit. Figures should be of high resolution and have a file type of “gif”, “jpg” or jpeg”. Content must be organized in the following structure:
    • Objectives
    • Materials and Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusion

 

Young Investigator Award
The purpose of the Young Investigator Award (YIA) is to stimulate interest in research training by rewarding outstanding examples of excellence amongst those involved in research training in the early stages of his/her career.

 

Application Requirements

  • Applicant must be in early stages of his/her career (i.e. up to five (5) years post training) in cardiology or electrophysiology.
  • Applicant must submit the training certification and curriculum vitae during online abstract submission.
  • Applicant must be the first author of abstract and a registered participant of the congress.
  • Shortlisted oral abstracts must be presented by applicants during the Congress.

 

Selection Process

  • Applicant should select ‘YIA Application’” during submission of abstract for oral presentation.
  • Shortlisted abstracts are based on scores assigned by the Abstract Selection Committee and all successful applicants (up to five (5) best YIA papers) will be notified.
  • The finalists will present at the YIA session to be held as part of the APHRS scientific sessions which will be evaluated live by a panel of judges, and the winner will be announced thereafter.
  • The Abstract Selection Committee’s decision is final.

 

Abstract Submission Terms & Conditions

  • All abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Only online submissions are accepted. Other forms of submission will not be considered.
  • Abstracts should contain original material that has not been published at the time of submission. In addition, abstracts should not be submitted to international meetings which take place before 16th APHRS & CardioRhythm 2023. However, abstracts submitted to, or presented at, local and national meetings will be considered. If applicable, the abstract should state: "This research has been approved by an ethical committee".
  • Since all abstracts accepted for oral or poster presentation will be published, they should be of copy-proof quality.
  • All presenters are required to register for the Congress with full payment to confirm their participation and presentation of their works. Presenting authors are deemed to have withdrawn their papers if registration fees are not paid by deadline.
